WE’RE HIRING A DEPUTY STAGE MANAGER!
NLP Ltd are seeking a Deputy Stage Manager to join them this coming Festive Season for a run of John Hay & Garry Parson’s children’s classic book, The Owl Who Came for Christmas, performed at MAC, Birmingham.
This delightful adaptation is inspired by the true story of Rosie the Owl. This charming tale celebrates the power of love, kindness, and the magic of Christmas. With toe-tapping songs, captivating puppetry, and plenty of opportunities for audience participation and captivates audiences of all ages. The show was originally developed in association with Leicester Curve, where it first premiered in 2023. It successfully played Haymarket Theatre Basingstoke, Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury and the Palace Theatre, Southend in 2024.
Adapted for the stage by the talented Chandni Mistry, Creative Programmes Practitioner at Leicester Curve, The Owl Who Came for Christmas, is the perfect festive treat for families looking to make cherished memories together.
Running approximately 1 hour with no interval, it’s suitable for children aged 1 and up.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in children’s theatre; however, we will consider those who have experience in other areas of the theatre sector.
Contract Details:
– Rehearsal Fee £600.00 per week – Performance Fee £700.00 per week
– Holiday Pay will be paid
– Subsistence £227.50 per week
– A contribution to travel will be paid

- Rehearses NLP HQ, Stafford 17th – 26th November 2025
- Tech & Dress Rehearsals 27th – 29th November 2025
- Show opens 1st December 2025
- Show ends 28th December 2025
